With concurrent engineering becoming more important in all new projects the use of CAD/CAM systems to facilitate a seamless link between the design and manufacturing stages has many advantages for both the company and customer alike.
GATE Aerospace fully recognizes this and has the capability to produce CNC Programs for all machine platforms either at their offices in The Netherlands or at your facility. We have a number of programmers with over 20 years experience in a variety of programming software ranging from the ATP language through to high end CAD/CAM systems such as CATIA.
Our “in house” facilities are centred around the IBM CATIA V4 and V5 systems and we have the ability to generate 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC programs using 3D solid models or drawing data as the source information. The NCMILL and MFGPROG modules of CATIA V4 and NC Manufacturing module of CATIA V5 are used to produce programs for components and tooling.
All CNC programs are thoroughly verified using the latest version of VERICUT which supports not only tool path simulation but also full machine simulation. This ensures that the client costs and possibility of scrap are minimised due to programming errors. The master 3D model (provided this is supplied or built by GATE) can also be compared directly to the finished component and dimensional checks carried out before any material is cut.
Secure electronic transmission of data in either direction is possible through our dedicated FTP server, E-mail or any transportable media.
